I recommend that you read the book a few times over, aloud and slowly. Not for beginners, but definitely worth a read. I have enjoyed all three books in the Samantha series. It's amazing to read what prominent black writers, educators, and other leaders in the early 1900s thought about our place in society and the best ways to move forward .
